ÑÇÐǹú¼Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾

RECON completed the salvage and installation of variegated dudleya translocation for the Weston Development Project. Restoration involved dethatching, herbicide treatment, surveying, salvage, and planting, followed by a five-year maintenance and monitoring period. At the beginning of the project, a total of 72 variegated dudleya individuals were planted into two cages (plots) made ÑÇÐǹú¼Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ wire mesh and chicken wire to prevent herbivory. Non-native species were controlled ÑÇÐǹú¼Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾in the plots and in the surrounding one-acre enhancement area, also benefiting the natural population of dudleya present ÑÇÐǹú¼Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾in the enhancement area.

In Year 5, 182 mature dudleya plants were counted in the translocation plots, including 70 flowering variegated dudleya, exceeding the project requirement of a minimum survival of 80 percent of the translocated individuals. All project success criteria were exceeded.
